I tbh dont really follow Craig Skistimas "The co-ownder of ScrewAttack" But this tweet does sum it up on The avgn guy who doesn't really follow up on the internet controversies
There some 2 very interesting blog posts that I read and gave me a hmmm very interesting post kind of thought.
The First is from Bird's blog about OpenAI taking over the open web.
I am going to be completely wrong and it is just in my opinion.
I think for the past 3 years now we all hear AI is taking over and where mostly everything is now copy and paste on all sites. And the whole idea of The algorithm on what's piping hot and cold. I believe we still have the open web. I believe if you have your corner of the net you can bring your ideas out there, bring out positive thoughts and positive ideas in the world where someone is gonna read it. And I kinda felt like we have burst the bubble on the people who make a living on writing on the Net. On whom I call as the people who write for computers and Entertainment. And we all hear about it. Look at the games people who write stuff online are mostly laid off in this profession. But those who survived COVID-19 times did make it better off being solo living off of their subscribers from Patreon or any paid service that they live off of.
I did read somewhere off on Twitter that a supercomputer/quantum computer does exist from google? or somewhere and could be the end of the whole internet as we speak of it. The whole meta super duper computer where it way more powerful than anything else" I hope you understand where I am coming from. Lol," That is a major worry lol haha.
For now, we are doing ok :) For now lol... fingers cross through
Ava's blog post called Is offline the new luxury?
The more I read this the more I feel I agree so much lol...
Everything online is not just social media. You could just be terminally offline not worrying about every little thing. Unless you kinda read what someone wrote about the next PS6 or the top-of-the-line graphics card. But never really engage with a stranger unless you are chatting with a friend or family member. Like my parents tell me "You don't need to talk about this problem that doesn't involve you at all"
What's great about the Net is that you can know everything you want. But please learn the good things lol we sometimes want to know everything but sometimes when we touch that thing it can be very very damaging to ourselves. It can scar our minds or the child's mind. So limit what you or your kids can see since there is so much ugliness on the search bar.
Even in the mid-90s, there were books teaching parents what to do to avoid their kids looking at that stuff.
I be honest I was terminally Offline from 2016-2019 lol...I did read new stuff but when I think about it right now 2016-2018 blew just so fast. I can't tell you what new trends began lol. The most terminally online I was from 2011-2015. I suddenly return to terminally online territory from late 2019 to the present haha.
But now with everything going on I just feel like we're kinda in the 90s lol...This means you have the choice to choose what content u see and not want to see. And to the point where the addiction is buying hard drives and archiving everything like literary everything "only the good things lol"
I did come accross these shorts from Neil deGrasse Tyson on Fake news on the net andAI
