What a great time to be a linux users for 2025
You might hear from Linux users that this is the year of the Linux Desktop.
I will tell you that it has always been the year of Linux.
Since the birth of Linux in the mid-1990s, Computers have evolved so large that they have collided inside a huge bubble that still has 2 big players in the market today.
Microsoft and Apple.
The biggest software that everyone buys nowadays is video games!!
games games games
Sure you might think Linux is not powerful or anything special on the command line but I would tell you this exactly 10 years ago
it was powerful.
It was the year of Linux way back in December 2015, when Windows 10 was introduced by Microsoft.
This brings me great memories
When I Discovered Linux it was my curiosity to know if there was a free Operating system that existed and here it was "Thanks to GOOGLE Search"
It was magic muahh
The beauty of it was that it was free but it also ran better.
Ran better than freaking Windows Vista
Windows Vista Ran hella slow on 2GB lol
Window Vista running on the Toshiba
Toshiba Satellite L305-S5955 specs
Processor 2.2GHz Intel Celeron 900
Memory 2GB, DDR2 800MHz
Hard drive 160GB 5,400rpm
Chipset Mobile Intel GM45
Graphics Intel GMA 4500MHD
Operating System Windows Vista Home Basic SP1
I then Install Debian 10 Jessie on my ThinkPad t510
It still ran awesome on the i3 window manager
I will not say Linux is Perfect, but it was the perfect operating system back in 2016 if you had low-end hardware or just didn't want to upgrade to Windows 10.
For a Shout of the doubt!!!!
It was the perfect operating system.
Back then I used Ubuntu for a year and then stopped lol.
I then used Debian for about 3 years and then stopped
But I now use Arch Linux on my Q6600 Dell 420 computer.
It still feels the same.
I just felt like I came back home in a comfy bed.
Around 2017? I install Gary's mod on my ThinkPad t510n laptop and Freaking Gary's mod Ran 40FPS on the freaking Intel HD Graphics lol on under 4GB of ram bruh.
And Now since 2020, You can finally Play Videogames on Linux thanks to Proton. I would say Gary's mod on SteamDeck does exactly play well at a lock on butter smooth 45FPS lol. A 10 year Journey lol
It was magic Linux is pure magic and joy.
Tbh saying it won't run on Linux is a bad
