I have been on the Internet on and off since 2008, and I remember telling my dad there was no good reason to reveal too much information about yourself on Twitter.
At the time I didn't have any interest in joining Myspace, FaceBook, or Twitter.
It wasn't until I was in junior high, LOL. "The Summer of 2012" when I signed up on Facebook after a Christian revival camp. I added the people I met and the people from my church. It was cool talking to a lot of people.
But in recent years, I have found it sad or disheartening that everyone I try to chat with leaves me on read, lol.
You know meme right lol hahaha or also like when you come back once in a while and you find out that they just unfriend or block you lol.
Facebook is a great place to talk to people you haven't met for a long time. It doesn't matter how many friends you have, it just matters who matters to you when you text them on Messenger.
Do you need Facebook?
Maybe? Unless you have friends or family who aren't on your cell phone contacts and it's cheaper and faster than good old Skype lol.
Threads?
Uhhh I don't know?
It is the same thing as Twitter, but it is owned by Facebook, Instagram, and Meta.
Instagram?
I had an account on Instagram to look at pics of people lol
Yeah, it's just a site where people upload their faces on the site/app.
Not interesting but it is there if you need to follow some popular people.
As of late 2024, Twitter is just a shit-load of information. It's so disgusting, to be honest. It has everything for you to download. I made some good friends—lol—and some enemies as well.
I step on some people's toes on Twitter lol.
Small Rant lol
It made me kinda hate people from Québec City. Canada. Not going to lie it was all because I posted a tweet that AEW wrestlers FTR sucked and also something about TNA. The FTR guy replied to my tweet by saying FUCK you, The second tweet had this guy from Québec City Canada living in fucking New York telling me to take English lessons and stop watching Wrestling. I was pissed. And maybe this was the reason why I now hate/criticize the French Canadians.
I was thinking of saying fuck you on his Facebook page lol.
But then I realize that wait a minute why am I so angry about this lol? He doesn't know me in IRL or anything like that lol. So it wasn't worth it lol being this angry of someone telling you that on Twitter lol in 2021 lol.
Do You Need Twitter?
Well, it depends. If you want to find extreme content that you can't find anywhere or want to follow up on someone. Or have a following to make money on it.
I would make a side note that AEW wrestlers Jon Moxley and Juice Robinson have mentioned this many times and some say that they do not use any sort of social media And it is such a wholesome thing to say that lol.
I will not delete my Twitter account lol I will only use it for looking at the recent crazy news and crazy recent news lol....
Mastodon
I created an account on Mastodon and signed on to a gaming server, but after four months of use, the server was deleted. Idk why it was deleted I tried to log in again but I never lol. If you ever going to sign up on Mastodon just find a server that won't be deleted by the host. My overall feeling is that it's the same thing as Twitter but with mind-like people who like video games or something that u like on the server.
Discord
I don't think you need Discord unless you want to connect to a community that has the same interests as you.
SnapChat
Never ever, ever, ever sign up on Snapchat it's a dumb app full of perverts.
BlueSky
I feel like I am repeating this over and over again lol It just like Twitter minus the crazy people, bots, and hardcore content lol. It's just loads of positive stuff on there.
TLDR
Facebook is 7/10
Threads?
Instagram 6/10
Discord 8/10
Twitter 5/10 or 9/10 if you wanna see very very spicy content lol
Mastodon 7/10
BlueSky 7 or 8/10
SnapChat 0/10 lol
The world of social media is a chaotic place, filled with words and information. While it can be an exciting space, it’s not without its flaws. What may not resonate with you could be valuable to someone else who engages with the content. However, it's important to remember the common advice: don't trust everything you see online.
Thanks for reading my random post about my feelings on each social media app.
