Right on the money!!!
Hello guys, it's me, Johnnyvash, writing to you a live letter recap of them showing us what's next on patch 7.1.
Before I go into it, I want to mention three things that have been going on with my mind lately.
Firstly, Yoshi-P is fascinated with the idea of bringing Final Fantasy XIV to the Switch. Believe it or not, the Switch is currently the most popular console in Japan, and the only MMO I can think of is the mysterious Dragon Quest X. DQ10 has a similar 4-player team structure to FFXIV but with a DQ twist.
Considering how many players are still using the original PS4 or even the PS4 Pro, along with the Xbox Series X version released earlier this year, I believe they will make the switch when the so-called Super Switch comes out.
It may have enough power, like a Steam Deck, to run FFXIV. I also think there will be a significant influx of new sign-ups on the Switch from the Japanese side "Sign-Savage lol".
However, they might have to sacrifice the PS4 in favor of the Super Switch, given the PS4's age" 10 years old!!" and Sony's support of new consoles such as the PS5.

The ESO Director did have an interesting thought on how an MMO could or should be in the future. He did mention it twice this year. MMO needs to have a not-so-long update to wait on the new content type of thing, so players can jump on very quickly or leave the players high and dry.
And yeah I understand nobody wanna wait every 3 months. The problem is just burnout for the developers and the perfection to make a game work and feel good before giving it to us the players.
So instead FFXIV gives us holiday events or like Moogle treasure trove before a patch is here. There is so much in the game already that idk it just depends if you wanna grind on them still. Yes, I might be a masochist but man I fucking love this game soo much, I really really do.
Do I get my Tri-Monthly Sub worth? Heck Yeah, I do!!!
As I mentioned in a previous blog post months ago, and based on the comments I've read, FFXIV, or any game, for that matter, is not powerful enough to counter this issue. It is great to have 100 things going on at once like No Man Sky with its procedural generation. But we are not even there yet? We might have to wait for 10 more years to have that feeling of 100 things going on in a random time element.
Yeah, I know how are you feeling Harvey Randall but you gotta understand these games are made on what we have in technology right now. If we have that right now. Just imagine Random events could happen all at once. We could use AI mathatics to have NPC just talk to us or the bosses outside to kill us something like a huge player event happening.
TLDR
We are not there yet lol....

Lastly, Yoshi-P mentioned in interviews this year that he already had plans for the next 10 years, which include three expansions? to the game. He just needs the fans' feedback on how each expansion concludes. So that way he could revise and edit the storyline.

It's exciting to think about where the story will lead by the time he turns 60! The funny part is that I am currently 28, and I plan to play this game until I'm 40! Hahaha!

What can we expect in Patch 7.1?
From what I saw in the trailer, there will be a lot of mourning for Princess Sphene during her funeral. One of the questions asked by a child is, "What about us? Where will we go?" The next scene showcases the new dungeons. I'm not certain if we'll be able to enter the building that was previously off-limits, but it seems like we are heading toward "The Control Room."
I would say the last dungeon is difficult on the first boss and last boss.
Yoshi-p had said that the newest dungeon would not be as difficult but look forward to the 3rd boss.
Yoshi-P mentioned,Our guy who programmed the duty support was questioning a little, Are we doing this?
"The new Allied Society quest line will be straightforward to follow. To unlock this additional quest coming in version 7.16, you must complete all role quests. Additionally, it's necessary to finish all the Wachumeqimeqi quests to access this extra quest."The new Hildi story, is a bit of a prologue, an entry into this new storyline"
Finally, they are planning to add a small side quest that will conclude the Pandemonium Raid series. They felt it wasn't the right time to implement this on 7.0, so instead they are doing it on 7.1.
Onto the alliance raid
Due to small sneak peeks from websites and screenshots, YouTuber Meoni was talking about it and half way thru his video it made me realize that this FFXI instance will come from Heritage Found. If you look at the top of the screenshots, you can see a purple color and a small light above it. This leads me to believe that it will somehow generate an image of Juno and everything that is related to the whole FFXI in this FFXI collab Alliance Raid.

In this one you must have 6 tanks Yoshi-P also said that if you need to practice you will need 12 people.

For rewards
There will be two different mounts as rewards, with some items being rare drops that you can trade for tokens. There will be no weekly limit on acquiring these rewards.
"Since finding 24 players each time can be challenging, they have implemented a bonus system. Your first clear will require 24 people, resulting in a significant bonus."
These limited-time bonus effects will vary depending on the data center you play on. This might mean there won't be player farms outside of these bonus times, but they want to give this system a try. It might even encourage players to hop between data centers.
He did mention that "A few of these rewards can be sold on the Market board."
Yoshi-P mentions "We wanted to match Extreme difficulty at first... but I would say the mechanics themselves are like the first floor of savage, but when you consider doing it as 24 people, it might bump up to the level of a second savage floor"
Jokely saying "Have any of you formed a 24-man static yet?"
You need the entire set for this to work
For gear that can be "compressed" you will have this little button on the right
Don't forget they still making the chat bubbles to work that was shown at PAX West seattle.
I will not write about PVP or Ultimate.They say there will be major new maps and PVP adjusments for Crystalline Conflict PVP etc..
There might be some Job Adjusments??
