Its finally here!!!
Hello My fellow adventurer I am here to review Final Fantasy 14 Latest Expansion Dawn Trail.
Hows the graphics update?
The graphics update is a huge improvement in the quality of life Showing us the greens of grass and the water flow. They all pop beautifully. However, you must understand that if you do go to Tural which will have a large amount of players, your FPS will be lower. As a RTX 3060ti owner, the game runs perfectly but like I said it will be lower when you head to Tural crowded with players.

How about us SteamDeck Players?
Those who mainly play FFXIV on SteamDeck myself included. Have no fear!!! The graphics update has not changed performance at all so we can just play it at locked 45fps :)
Job Changes that made my brain Think lol
I would say that the Samurai rotations level 91-100 got me confused lol. At first, I couldn't understand why I couldn't do Higanbana's 2nd special to appear until I activate Meikyo Shisui to get Higanbana's 2nd special. It took me a week to get comfortable doing that lmao.
How are the two New Jobs play?
Viper is easy to handle on the controller It is fast and easy to play
Pictomancer is a bit challenging to map which button is important on which side lol. It is slow but it delivers powerful DPS combo explosions
Server congestion was not bad like last time on Endwalker's early access launch lol.

Wuk Lamat seems like a friend I wish I had in real life. She's optimistic and nice, always eager to learn new things.
Koana aspires to be the future of trades and technology. He's intelligent but tends to keep his personality to himself.
Erenville Like Koana is mostly a chilled character in search of the golden city.
Zoraal Ja: He is the brother of both Koana and Lamat. He's exceptionally skilled, but something seems to have affected him deeply, similar to a situation in Star Wars episode 3 (wink wink).
Bakool JA JA: Not a pleasant person, to put it lightly. He seems to think that becoming Dawnservent could save his family and his people."
6.55 Story recap
Back in patch 6.55 which was released in January Erenville "who I just forgot that we did meet him in 6.0 lol" came back to introduce us to a new friend from the new world. Wuk Lamat the daughter of the current ruler of Tural Gulool Ja Ja. We did agree to travel with them to the new world her home Tural. Now we must help her become the next DawnServent!

I will not explain the deep lore of Tural lol you can find it on Reddit or the Wiki. I am also not going to spoil the story lol because it has a lot of meaning that you need to look out for yourself lol.
Both the Full Trailer and Launch Trailer did give away a lot but it will make sense when you follow the story very closely.
My thoughts on DawnTrail not to spoil the story lol
There were some pacing issues but my goodness it was really good. Some may or may not like it but for me, I love the story. Despite the well highly fun happy music, you will encounter a sad feeling with very encouraging moments. The atmosphere is awesome to take yourself back in awe. Just grab a pack of tissues just in case you will know why.

I wish they could just have Voice acting in all scenes Especially when it's all text reading where all the characters are just talking to each other. That would be awesome.
All the zones looked pretty good and it make sense in the story
Aeither currents are a pain in the ass but it's ok lol. They will include it with the MSQ that's when you know you got them all.
FFXIV Dawn Trail MSQ Dungeons
level 93-96
They were easy dungeons to clear. However, The last 3 dungeons were hard lmao. You must have very fast reflex to avoid AOE damage.
There is only 1 solo MSQ stage where you play as Wuk Lamat. That one was a pain in the ass. I wonder why I keep messing up. And I had to check how others had cleared it. Wuk Lamat can heal when you activate it on your hotbar you have to wait 30 seconds before you can finally activate it again. So those AOE that "The Guy" keeps blasting at you will destroy you so again you must be quick!! Quick quick there's no quitting! Comments had said that it was difficult lol. Keep trying and you will clear :) Damn, the dialogue on this one was a banger it will help you not want to quit lol haha.
The Arcadion Raids 1-4
All of them are a pain in the ass. Because all of the AOE's will come at you fast, so you must avoid them quickly before it hits you. You can clear! You just need to have some form of teamwork by following each other and avoiding AOE attacks.
What is awesome about the story for Arcadion is that it will tie into the second half of the MSQ story near the end with a big 20-second Introduction of "Welcome we are now open!" like it comes to your face of excitement. It's not a very separate storyline but it connects to the MSQ afterwards.

Did DawnTrail live up to the hype after its July 2023 reveal?
Was it worth it for me to get thru the MSQ and only have 3 hours of sleep? Lmao.
Yes, it did! "Well, for me it was, lol. I don't know about you, lol, haha. Despite people's mixed feelings, DawnTrail is just the beginning of a new journey. It introduced us a new storyline, new characters, and new areas to explore. Hopefully, future patches(7.1-7.5) will give us more gameplay and Small storylines that will give us a reason to keep on playing/reflecting until 8.0.
I might try explaining the story maybe before 7.1 lmao
