The Future OF XBOX
;10-22-2023
Remember the console wars lol?
It’s been so long, to be honest.
I only remember the epic Sony E3 2013 conference that destroyed the Microsoft E3 Announcement on XBOX One.
What sold me on an XBOX 360 was watching a review of GTA4 it made me want to buy a new console. Jumping from PS2 to XBOX 360 in the year 2010 was a crazy period to be on. Playing Cod black ops on the release date was a mind-blowing experience. I would consider the XBOX 360 to be the greatest console despite having the Red Ring of Death early in its lifespan.
.
I still have the Original XBOX One Retailing at $499. I bought it for my Younger brother for his birthday in July 2014? At first, we just used the console just to watch YouTube Videos lol The only games I have played on this console and only remember were Halo Master Chief Collection, WWE 2k17, and some NBA games.
It wasn’t a powerful console at the time nor it was anything special to its older brother “XBOX 360”

Microsoft has come a long way since 2013 when the original XBOX One became one of the most infamous consoles that failed to describe itself between a media device and a gaming console. While Sony had its PS4 Pro, Microsoft had the XBOX One X in 2017.
On June 1, 2017
Microsoft released the GamePass Play Anywhere Program. At first I never really thought much of it,I thought it was a way for Microsoft to force people to play their games on the Windows Store. The idea of Game Pass wasn’t concrete like it is today. As of last year, 2021 GamePass has become a really great idea to play all the latest games from all “selected” publishers on day 1. A great idea to play a full retail game without paying 60 or 70 dollars through a Monthly Subscription on an XBOX or PC.
in late 2020 Microsoft released Series X/S Console which has been pretty much a sales Success. Both XBOX series S&X have been Microsoft’s bread and butter to fight Sony PlayStation 5. What truly matters for both consoles is how good the service is and how good the games are.
Last Month Microsoft had an accidental leak being placed all over Twitter.
Based on the leaked photos Microsoft will have a refresh and a New Generation of XBOX for the Future.
Based on their Future line up of their new console it will rely on ARM or AMD Zen6 CPU. Maybe it might be a hybrid CPU?
What’s really surprising enough is that Microsoft will be using its own Ray tracing technology called Direct X-ray tracing.
Thin OS a weird Windows CE like OS Maybe?
Does XBOX Matter at this point?
The Windows PC is a much more profitable state since everyone on this planet is running Windows 10/11 on a work PC or a PC just for playing video games. The Xbox brand on the other hand is trying to stand on its own legs to have better service than the competitors “Sony and Steam”. Although they are doing what’s good for the gamers and good for business
One last thing to mention from the Leaks is a Disk-Less XBOX. This means everything is going to be digital on the XBOX. You can only buy games on the XBOX Store and not go to a physical Store to buy the disc in game packaging. But there is an option to buy a Disc drive separately and connect that to your XBOX console.
I be honest I dropped the consoles altogether in February 2014 in favor of the PC. Steam had Better services for games with deep discounts every month. In 2022 Linux has better support thanks to Valve SteamDeck. By now almost everyone on this planet has a computer or laptop capable of playing a video game. You know Nintendo is Nintendo lol
Do you need a console in 2023? I don’t really know?
It just depends on what you are doing with technology. What games you are playing that are conveniently comfortable for you “The Player”!
