The Road to 6.3 Final Fantasy XIV 2022 overview

Thing’s are winding down at the end of 2022.
Content-wise people are taking a break from 14. They’re just finding other games to play until 6.3 update. Others such as myself will never stop playing this game haha lol. I would say I try my best to feed my animals and get more materials on Island sanctuary. I’m also trying to grind more on Variant Dungeons to get the Spy clothes. With the whole excitement of 6.3 looming around the corner next month. Here’s my overview on what changes made in 2022.

6.1 updated Roulette MSQ lvl 50 into 4-man Dungeons

Castrum Meridianum

The Praetorium

Trial The Porta Decumana

8 man are no more but now replace into 4 man dungeon in MSQ LVL50 Roulette. In my opinion its just easier to get in at 5 min compare to just waiting for about 30 min-1 Hour. Both Praetorium and Castrum Meridianum has cut some parts to make the 4 man Dungeons compatible and durable for the run. Praetorium doesn’t feel too long despite the cut-scenes that makes it seems that long lol.

Castrum Meridianum is really fast to clear.

Trial The Porta Decumana only has two parts so don’t mess up.

PVP Crystal Conflict was kinda fun lol but its only 1 win lol

6.1 updated Roulette MSQ lvl 50 that split into 3 parts

End-walker Alliance raids Myths of the Realm Part 1 Aglaia

Aglaia is one my favorite alliance raids for End walker.

Anything can go wrong on the first act.

Where you may fall if your not looking on your position.

Patch 6.18

One of the best updates were 6.18,Where it eliminate the AFK timer.

Meaning players can AFK forever no longer worrying about being Logout automatically for 10 minutes

AFK Forever!!!!!

Patch 6.2

Island sanctuary

The most hype content that somehow is kind of disappointing. But Hold on!!! it’s not really that
bad. You can grow stuff, feed your animals, grind on materials and capture animals in the island. But I hope we can get more than just 20 people to join our island. However Yoshi-p did say that there will be updates in between 6.3-6.5, that will add certain features in Island sanctuary.

Duty Support

You can finally play FFXIV as a Single-player. Updates will add more Heavenwards/Storm-blood dungeons at the time of writing. The difference between Duty Support and Shadow-bringers/End-walker Trust, you still need to Level your trust on Shadow-bringers though you can also customize what the scions are wearing.

Variant/Criterion Dungeons

I haven’t done Criterion Dungeons because its really difficult lol.

However there are routes you can take that will have reveal more story in it.

Like I said earlier when u complete Variant Dungeon each time

u will be rewards to buy yourself the SpyxClothes Trench coat suits.

The biggest Change is more servers on all regions except Oceanic Servers

Graphics side

Yoshi-P has been saying that the Graphics will change in 7.0 and around 6.2

the launch Dynamic resolution scaler is in beta is a deal breaker?

I don’t how by how much. Though it will help with low end users.

What hardware can I play FFXIV

PS4, PS4 pro, PS5

SteamDeck

It is worth-noting that Steam deck is a new device. A portable device that can play FFXIV really well. Don’t expect playing at 60fps high-settings. Because going to the 3 main cities can really lower the framerate at 30-40fps. However 40FPS normal settings is what I recommend. I never really try playing FFXIV on controller. So with the SteamDeck 4 back buttons and two trackpads I am able to use all my abilities as a Samurai. lets not forget 3 or 2 hours is your max on playing FFXIV. Overall i love the SteamDeck soo much because I can play this everywhere.
